My name is Virginia Earle and I am an artist and graphic designer based in Phoenix, Arizona. I specialize in a variety of creative services ranging from graphic design and illustration to custom paintings from photos. I am inspired by retro objects and advertising, which is reflected in my compositions and color palette, and my paintings are often still-lifes of mundane vintage objects. I was raised in Stockholm, Sweden, where minimalism and simplicity are considered virtues. A word often used in the Swedish language is the word “lagom”, which translates to “not too much, not too little”. This has affected my art and my design, and my pieces have simple and clean compositions with large areas of negative space.
I have had an interest in art and design from an early age and was accepted into a dedicated arts program in High School. I continued my education in the arts, and in 2003 received a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication. Since then, I have continued to refine my craft freelancing and participating in several regional exhibits including MonOrchid Gallery and Practical Art.
